Healthier Jupiter Rocks!

This past Saturday, Healthier Jupiter joined Town of Jupiter’s – Rec on the Move at Jupiter Community Park to offer free rock painting and active family fun. Over 80 joined in on the fun!

Rock painting is the latest craze and painted rocks can be found all over the community. When you find a rock you are supposed to hide it again for someone else to find and brighten their day. Healthier Jupiter provided the rocks, paints and supplies and the community supplied the creativity. Some of the rocks were painted with fruits and vegetables, rainbows, motivational quotes/drawings and animals. It was amazing to see how many skilled rock painters there are in our community!

Town of Jupiter Recreation – Rec on the Move provided a mobile playground. Recreation staff was on-site to lead games and fun activities. Some kids played on the playground while others played twister, corn-hole, soccer, giant legos and many other fun games. Rec on the Move is partially funded by a grant from Healthier Jupiter. It’s goal is to positively promote outdoor play and to encourage physical activity. Rec on the Move activities are free and there is no need to pre-register. Everyone was kept hydrated and provided healthy snacks.

It was a great opportunity for the community to be creative, get active and get to know new people in the community.
