Blood Pressure Checks and Community Surveys at El Sol

This Thursday morning, May 25th, Siobhan Gross, RN, BSN, CDE, a Healthier Jupiter Steering Committee member and Jupiter Medical Center nurse, went to El Sol to do blood pressure checks. She didn’t stop there though! She provided knowledge and resources on how to eat right and stay healthy, through label reading, correct portion sizes and healthy plate demonstrations. Siobhan is an amazing advocate for health and diabetes prevention in our community! Joanna, Healthier Jupiter’s Outreach Coordinator, went along to support Siobhan by sharing information about Healthier Jupiter. Additionally, we had some of the El Sol community members waiting to get their blood pressure checked take our Community Needs Assessment, which started important discussions on eating right and exercising. It was a great morning filled with sharing critical prevention information with the community!
